The Art of Letting Go: A Detox for Your Skin and Your Spirit
I don’t know about you, but I am not making "Resolutions" this year. Resolutions feel like pressure. They feel like a to-do list of things I haven't achieved yet.
Instead, this January, I am focusing on a different word: Release.
2025 was a year of massive transition. For me personally, it involved moving across the country, starting a new chapter solo, and fighting hard to build this business. It was heavy.
And just like our hearts carry the weight of the past year, our skin carries the weight of the past season. Dryness, dullness, and congestion are just your body’s way of holding onto the old.
So, how do we move forward? We scrub it away. We detox. And we have faith that what is underneath is brighter than what we are leaving behind.
Here is my ritual for detoxing both your body and your mind for 2026.
1. The Physical Release: Scrubbing Away the Old
You cannot glow if you are covered in the past. Dead skin cells and product buildup act like a barrier, stopping moisture (and light) from getting in.
To physically reset, we need powerful, natural exfoliants.
-
For the Body: I use the Himalayan Pink Salt Scrub. Salt is an ancient purifier. As you scrub, imagine you are physically buffing away the stress, the doubts, and the heaviness of last year.
-
For the Hair: If your hair feels weighed down, use the Apple Cider Vinegar Renew Shampoo. It strips away the buildup without damaging the strand, leaving you feeling lighter—literally.
2. The Spiritual Detox: Having Faith in the "New"
Detoxing isn't just about ingredients; it’s about intention.
When we exfoliate, we are revealing new, tender skin. That can feel vulnerable. It’s the same with life. Stepping into a New Year—especially after a hard one—requires a massive amount of faith.
Faith isn't just religious; it's the audacity to believe that your best days are not behind you. It is the trust that when you strip away the safety of the "known" (the old job, the old relationship, the old routine), you are making space for something better to grow.
3. The Ritual: A "Faith" Shower
Tonight, turn your shower into a ceremony.
-
The Scrub: Take a handful of scrub or a detox bar. As you work it into your skin, say to yourself: "I am releasing what no longer serves me."
-
The Rinse: Watch the water swirl down the drain. Visualize your stress and fear going with it.
-
The Nourishment: When you get out, seal your skin with a rich Body Butter or our Red Astaxanthin Serum. This is the protection for your new chapter.
Moving Forward
You are resilient. Your skin is resilient.
No matter what last year looked like, you have the power to wash it off and start fresh today.
Here’s to a lighter, brighter, and fearless New Year.
With love and gratitude,
